Mumbo Jumbo? Any truth that just thinking about something can have an effect on your health?
Yes! Yes, it can and in a big way. Also, being sick can have a Giant effect on your mental state. So, what to do. Find out just what is going on….here we go.
The human mind controls just about everything in the body. Is it not true that thoughts lead to actions? You think about going hiking and you do it. You think about going to get a chicken dinner and you do it. The mind influences the body to action; muscles move and blood flows and soon we are getting the task at hand done. Conversely, we feel bad and our minds tell us to rest, take an aspirin and put our feet up…right?

Often, people discover medications prescribed by their doctor, or more likely doctors, have contraindications. They visit one physician and then, upon recommendations from a friend, visit a totally different one.
Neither doctor is aware of the other and each may prescribe meds separately…a dangerous combination! But, what is a contraindication? My grandfather would have referred to it as one of those big, 50 cent words. It simply means meds in conflict with other meds. Some are harmless but some put you 6 feet under.
So, we at Time Challenger Labs International, Inc. are often asked about conflicts with meds and our supplements. They are surprised to learn; we have no known conflicts, at least in the last 12 years of work. We have seen none.
So, now that this little and potentially deadly possibility has been put to rest exactly what is Synergy? The title needs explaining. Here goes:
Synergy is defined as two or more items, events or people which have commonality and produce interaction which is often greater than the individual inputs.

The other day a friend mentioned during morning coffee that a local man’s daughter who had become a successful doctor in San Antonio, TX had suffered a major heart attack. I winced. This was a girl who had been in high school with my own daughter. It only seemed to have been just a few years ago…
I have coffee two or three days a week at a local café at 4:30 A.M. with my friends of the R.O.M.E.O. Club…that’s Retired Old Men Eating Out. We, as every other morning coffee group of retired people across the
country, solve the problems of the community, the nation and the world. It’s press coverage we lack to get these solutions implemented…no matter.
The heart attack of this young woman again struck home, too close to home. Last week, we buried our founding member’s son-in-law (same age as the doctor) who had passed from advanced cancer (took him in 10 months). Yet, each of us are fairly healthy. We all garden and take life a little less serious – less stressful, most of the time.

Tomorrow? Wow! How did I get here? It sure is different than what Walt Disney told us it would be like after the year 2000!
2000! Lunar colonies, missions to Mars and beyond. Everybody has a flying car that flies itself and more. Me, I just take the monorail to work and my wife teaches school from home. Our home is solar powered and there has not been a war in almost 40 years anywhere in the world….and, no one is hungry anymore…..
Well, it was supposed to be like that, wasn’t it? And what about health care? Oh, we were no longer supposed to get sick and it would almost seem dying had taken a permanent holiday.

Curious title? Yes, but illustrative for our discussion.
Often an analogy serves best to make a point. We will explore three.
In the world of pickles and whisky, a wooden barrel is the ideal storage vessel. Some people even advertise how their liquor or beer is aged in oak barrels. Laudable, as they even claim to make their barrels for that very purpose.
Now, in the construction of a well-made wooden barrel, the pieces known as staves, must be crafted with perfection to make a liquid tight construction. Even these “perfect” staves must be held in place by some external force; metal bands, to maintain integrity. Should some other external force be placed on the barrel, in most cases these bands will resist catastrophic failure. However, should an external force be applied to a single stave, the entire barrel might collapse, as together all are strong but individually, they are not.

Just what do we believe and why?
Most of our core beliefs have been formed in early childhood. Then, we spend a lifetime adding, subtracting and generally modifying this basic set of “Impressions”.
Take a person raised by a family who regarded anyone other than their race or ethnicity as inferior. Then, this young person begins a life of meeting, engaging and generally discovering that such notions were wrong, just plain silly or down right hurtful….the basic “Impressions” have to be modified.
